Waste is any substance or object that the creator or possessor discards, intends to discard or is required to discard. Simply put, waste is anything that is discarded, surplus or otherwise disposed of in the environment and that may affect it.
Waste storage at unregulated landfills is the only organized way of waste treatment in RSM. The capacity of the existing landfills in most municipalities is full, while most landfills do not meet even the minimum technical standards for waste management..
There is no basic treatment of land for groundwater protection as well as controlled separation of landfill gas which occurs by decomposition of waste in the landfill, which contributes to frequent fires and possible explosions in landfills. An additional problem is the enormous pollution of groundwater for which there are no records or measurements.
